Empowering knowledge and practical skills in diabetes management

This interactive session will cover the latest advancements in diabetes management, focusing on the 2026 update to NG28 along with practical approaches to implementation. The session will be delivered by Beverley Bostock, who is a specialist nurse in long-term conditions and President-Elect of the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society.
By the end of this session attendees will have a better understanding of:
- The pathophysiology of the different types of diabetes, and how they are diagnosed and managed
- NICE guidance on glycaemic management
- The importance of hypertension and lipids in diabetes
- Preventing, identifying and addressing complications
Highlights include the pragmatic use of case studies focused on the NICE T2 diabetes recommendations, comparison of NICE vs international guidelines, and opportunities for discussion. Whether you’re new to diabetes care or wish to update your skills, this workshop will provide valuable insights and practical tools for your everyday practice.
